Hi Jay, thanks for the kind words. We're afraid that we can't say a specific date, we can only say soon :) Currently we design our own UI including icons. Surely we'll let you know when scraplr beta is available.
@deaxon, thank you very much. We also can't wait to have your words after you try out scraplr (of course only if you have time and think its worth to try :) ). Would be an honor for us. Thanks also for stopping by.
@matthewlowery to be fair my initial reaction was that this was a "Things" webapp, or something from the same guys. Having looked closer though it's nothing more than a passing resemblance, great looking UI in its own right.
The website alongside icon and UI similarities were part of the reason for thinking it was from the same group - having seen the two sites side by side I can only hope it is from the same designer! Not cricket really, blatant copy (for whatever reason).
@jausto yes we have to admit that the "magnifying" circular shape is inspired by Things' features highlight page. It is just gorgeous :)
@tagscuderia we take it as compliment :) if you think our page is a blatant copy, you must have a more "superlative" word than "blatant" for this : http://embr.it/Zx :) and, we would love to see some of your works, really :)
@all, thank you for stopping by and gave your comment, we really appreciate it. Wait no longer for our private test session.. :)
Hi guys, I'm Matt, and I'm on the development team for Scraplr.
Just wanted to let you all know we're working hard on it, and if you want to stay up-to-date, follow @scraplr on Twitter.
I thought "Things rip-off" initially until I visited the website (which is entirely different from the above now.) It's pretty starkly unique and different! Very beautiful, and a cool idea (crowds)! I've signed up to test - hope that I get picked. :)

When does it launch?? This looks VERY promising! Those icons are simply STUNNING! Who's responsible for the icon design?

ok sorry I was in such a bad mood.
Posted on September 29, 2009.You're right, there is a SLIGHT resemblance in the icons, but it's slight.
